Our beginning
Generation Connect began in founder Candace Walker’s multigenerational home, where her teens helped their grandmother navigate technology, and she shared something just as valuable in return: her knowledge, experiences, and life perspectives.
Our history
Candace watched a powerful exchange happening inside her own home. Her digitally savvy teens helped their grandmother navigate technology and everyday life, while their grandmother shared the wisdom, care, and life experience that only she could give. Each generation had something the other needed.
Candace saw the potential to take what was happening in her home and make it possible for other generations to experience. That idea became Generation Connect, bringing teens and Seasoned Adults together through technology, shared learning, and human connection.
Our mission
Generation Connect brings teens and Seasoned Adults together to learn, connect, and grow through technology. We make technology more accessible and understandable for Seasoned Adults while creating opportunities for youth to build skills, confidence, and experience that prepare them for what comes next.
What generativity means
Generativity is the value created when we invest in another generation. Seasoned Adults share knowledge, stories, and life perspectives. Tech Navigators bring technology skills, new ideas, and their own experiences. Through that exchange, both generations build confidence, understanding, and meaningful human connections.

Tech Navigators listen first, meet Seasoned Adults where they are, and work through technology challenges without rushing or taking over.
Each generation brings something valuable to the experience, creating opportunities to share knowledge, build new skills, and learn from one another.
Training, screening, and facilitation help create an environment where participants can connect with respect, dignity, and confidence.
